Piping Reroute & De-Lip.

After surviving 1 week plus in the campus, the piping decided to crack at a point because of too much tension when having contact with the hump. Sounds like a rotary engine, but slower than a Myvi. Decided to swirl around in the Skudai area, and arrived at an exhaust shop + workshop. Which happened to be the workshop for JB Drift Club.

A mechanic then helped me to fix the piping. What he did was heating the extractor so that it can be bend more upward and re weld all the exhaust piping so that it get closer to Rolla's floor board. In other word, if you look from side now, you wont see any exhaust piping popping out from the bottom. All you see now is the floor board. Clean.

After the job was done, only then I knew his name. The man who did the job is the one who drove the A31 for Drift Zone JB, Mr. Shairul. A well known group and team member in JB was doing my car. Now that's improvement.

Then, while on the way to Majistreet Court (I will elaborate on this in a very very long writing to tell what happened when the case is settled. Suing people is a lot harder than I thought), there's new road and old road joint on the way to Danga, which I didn't saw it and just cruise on the joint. Which caused?

Rolla's a bit too low for daily usage actually. The front spoiler hit the joint, which caused nothing to the spoiler since it is a FRP. BUT, the lower panel was damaged. You can see how the impact had change the lower panel's shape and it didnt stop there. Even the front grille, and the left headlamp cover were affected too. And to add some spice, the right lower panel screw joint were detached. Need to weld it back to fix it. That bad uh the price I pay for having such low ride. And I wont raise the height back coz tall is lame. HAHA.

As for now, my old lip was sold. Sold to a very close friend of mine. Hope he'll success in his new project. All the best buddy! How bout Rolla? Well, Retro Bodykits which is one of my sponsor for Rolla, will send a new front spoiler which is the latest product of Retro Bodykits.

Some car with the similar front spoiler. Taken out of JNC and Uncle Google.

And finally, something is on the way to JB. I am very skeptical with the function or maybe its me who cant differentiate the difference of a car that does not have an anti-roll bar and a car that have it on the axle. We'll see. But since it is a bargain price tag, I just bought it. Will fit it. Theoretically, it is plug and play since I am using the AE86 LSD, which already have the bracket to hold the ARB.

Exhaust : Ro-Ta-Ry Style.

Urgh, cant sleep for the whole night coz Im too excited for today's activity. Anyway, before I proceed with today's program, lets jump to a lil upgrade on Rolla. New exhaust! Rotary style! That is what it is called. A bent-tip exhaust. Im always a big fan of it. Been using this style since my old rusty Mazda 808.

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs092.snc1/5116_91669552001_643222001_1921907_3529372_n.jpg

Anyway, few months ago, I had swapped my front lip for an exhaust with a custom bent tip. Almost brand new and unfortunately the inlet was 2', so I didn't use it coz mine was 2.3'. End up selling it to a friend and there goes my second bent exhaust.

And, yesterday, decided to surf Mudah and found out somebody selling a JS Racing exhaust for a reasonable price. Asked the seller to drop the price a bit, and we met in the evening for a meet up. The inlet is 2' which suit my current exhaust size. Cant wait to fit em into Rolla today!

Aaa, anyway; for the exciting part; Im going to help a friend to 'scrap' his car. So what's is in for me? Well, while helping him to sell all the parts, I can take what ever I want. That's a pretty good deal to me! Here's the car:

Rolla's Exhaust.

Okay so my house area is filled with this extra tall hump. All of sudden there's a dozen of new one when they resurfaced the road. So I was really like WTF coz Rolla's stance is pretty low, especially the flex pipe and the piping which sit lower than its body. Talking bout stupid workmanship at a lousy exhaust shop.

See? See? Cant even make the exhaust tip aligned with the tunnel.

Long, Hard and Bent.

Hehehe. The title sounds a bit gayish. Anyway, I am pretty busy with assignments and due to the fact that my final examinations are around the corner, 2 more weeks. And yes, next week I am going to Japan and Korea. Wohoo, a bit excited yet at the same time I am quite worry about my exam and etc.

Anyway, today decided to check out the power steering fluid and found out it was almost empty. So I bought this power steering fluid from a local spare part shop and top it up.

And finally, my front lip were traded with this exhaust. Gosh I love bent tips at the end of an exhaust. Question is, does it suitable for my car? And is it loud? It is quite long and according to the owner, the brand is 5zigen and it is suitable for turbo instead of N/A.

Here's a scale of my phone and the exhaust's length.

Dunno the truth but I'll try to fit it in maybe tomorrow or on Sunday. Tomorrow I gotta do some shopping for my UTM's Grand Dinner for seniors. I need to suit up and need to be as handsome as I can. LOL.

And here's the exhaust on previous car. Does it looks good?

Aftermath Clean Up.

Nothing much. Just today after I got an SMS from Mike telling me that the brown soil is actually acidic, I rushed back home and took Rolla to a carwash. Hahahaha. I thought I can preserve the dirt as a memory. Kekekeke.

The workers took some time to remove the dirt.

Walla. Done! Here's my daily VS my weekend ride. But both were parked at home. Hahaha. I am driving my mom's Jazz this week. Kinda want some comfort and speed plus fuel efficiency. So took Mom's car to the college.

Anyway, a friend of mine today asked me where was my front lip. I told him that it detached again for the fourth time. So he made this offer, I swap my front lip for this exhaust. Wohohohoho. Which get me excited coz I love bent tip exhaust. The questions are; is it quiet or loud? As my current one is quite 'silent' and how inch is my current piping and the new exhaust is? Hopefully tomorrow can meet him and take it.

Shop Visit : Exhaust Shop.

Bee sounds too loud this few days, so we decided to visit a nearby exhaust shop which is known for its cheapness and quality. So, up up she goes.

Main problem? Rusty center bullet. I guess its life ends today. RIP; 1977 - 2009.

Solution? Cut em up and there goes a straight pipe! And since we were already at a exhaust shop, why not try it? Try what? Check this out.

Taraa. A bend exhaust tip. I know it do looks fuckin weird from this angle due to its angle. Will make a new piping soon so that the tip will be 90degree from the body.

But from this angle, it does looks good. And I think Jaguh also wanna do the bent exhaust tips. Why not? Right?
The shop? Wei Yip. I guess most of us in KL might now this shop. They have a few branch but we went to the Balakong area. The manager in charge is very friendly. To custom the tip, it tooks him 5-6times and almost 30minutes altering the tip's angle and to have a customer like me usually it means more details needed and yes, they are good at it. They will do it until we are satisfied. And I recommend this shop to you! Plus one for the shop. We will be coming again soon.

Some vids, I asked the manager start the engine. Fuah, damn loud and beng! Straight pipe yo~

And the new exhaust's note. I guess it is too loud. Had tested it and I think I need a center bullet back! LOL~

Sorry for the lame vids! Hahaha. Coming up next week : DIY center panel with a few gauges and switches I think.

Damage from the track day

Hahaha. I thought there will be no problem after the track day. So checkup my car today and found out that the front tyres thread distorted already. Hehehe. Sorry Mok :P

Then there's the bocor exhaust. AGAIN!?? I had seal the leakage TWICE in this year. And it leaked at the same area. Gosh, so finally I asked the shop to make a new piping from a better material, and 'alang-alang menyeluk pekasam, biarlah sampai ke pangkal lengan'; I also change the center bullet to a branded one, Marco. Hmm.. Marco Seremban drift team? Hehehe. I thought Marco is a workshop.

I dont want straight pipe coz I dont want Getz to sound like a BENG car. lol. That is also the reason I never interested to change bodykit and what so ever that related to cosmetic look. BENG car sucks. Especially those with aftermarket HID. Looks like fast, sounds like fast, but Im slow. For what?! I prefer OEM bodykits coz its already there so I dont have to spend RM again. Hahaha. OEM bodykit nice what. Some more it's very durable.

So there goes my RM again.. Sigh. Oh bucket, please hold on a litle longer. Hehehehe. Changing the whole piping is no cheap at all.

Some OEM parts sucks for this car I guess. Korean car sucks. Big maintenance.

Bye-bye old center bullet.

Marco center bullet.

New piping and the new bullet in place.
Results? Much better acceleration. And a lil bit noisy. Hehehe.
