Photo & Event: Putrajaya Drift Run.

Decided to go for a drift fun before I went back to JB. And this time? I didn't bring any camera coz I wanna be free from camera. Or else I'll need to focus on two things which is drifting and snapping photos. Lucky me, Naufal and Kimi which is DSLR kaki are also in town. So why not?

Oh, and a few of my close friends (Which happened to be all chicks) come to give a support too! Thanks a lot guys! I appreciate it.

So we went around 12pm on the track. Freaking hot day too.

Featured : Din's New Ride.

Din had moved on to a new platform recently. Presenting his new Corolla TE71. I personally went with him during the purchase. It comes with a Blacktop 20v power plant and comes with a lot of drift goodies. No poser talk here, coz this car really come with full spec for drifting. Even a full cage!

Wallpaper : 4A-GE.

Okay, so I know no one wants this. But I think I like it. So, why not share it. Hehehe. Engine belongs to Din Longchamp. I guess 4A-GE madness continues in Malaysia.. For another decade maybe? Hmhm. Who knows what is the next madness?

Size is 1500 x 1000. Odd size isn't it?

MAEPS Saturday Night Drift. First Session with Rolla!

So, finally after a few times got invited to try Rolla at MAEPS, I finally decide to go. Hahaha. Finally! Anyway credit goes to Mike for his effort callin me up the day before that and invited me to play along at MAEPS.

Anyway, the epic (to me) story goes like this. Long crap writing warning!!!

Woke up early and went out to my college to pick up my camera and some stuffs. The road was freakin jammed and crawlin. It's kinda painful to drove into the traffics with a heavy clutch pedal. Damn it. Some more the petrol smell (because of external fuel pump and surge tank inside) make me high. And was searching some tires which Wangsa Maju area sold it quite expensive. Damn it.

Along the way, an hour on the road, the engine kinda "BOP BOP" and its idling was kinda unsteady. Afraid of possible problem, I switched off all unnecessary electric usage such as aircond and radio and drove slowly to Jeembo's Garage which is situated at Kajang. From Cheras to Wangsa Maju to Kajang. What a trip.

When I arrived, Man, the chief foreman was there with one of their new foreman which I forgot his name. Sorry bro. Hehehe. So, I told Man the symptoms and he suggest to change the plug along with the oil change that I asked them.

So, here the stuffs. This time kinda budget tight. So I opt the Petronas Syntium 15W-50. A bit thick I guess. Did it to slow down the leakage at gasket area. And Toyota oil filter too.
http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_349729607001_643222001_3557535_2538317_n.jpg

The 'old' oil that lasted 3000km. Well, 2500+ km only actually. Since I am going to thrashed the car on a track, why not change it. Anyway, look at the damn dirty and 'black' oil.
http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs450.ash1/24767_349729617001_643222001_3557537_5411518_n.jpg

And the new spark plug. Dunno why Man opt the Nissan brand. The previous spark plug stain showed that the combustion is in its 'proper' way. The previous previous spark plug was in shitty condition. Got carbon here and there.
http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_349729627001_643222001_3557538_3710789_n.jpg

And I tested the car. First thing that I found is that the idling had dropped significantly! Before this it was 1.8k at idling and it was not stable as it goes up and down all the time. And sometime I heard the misfiring at the exhaust note. And whenever I cold start the engine, some carbon will shoot out of the exhaust and staining my home's floor. And when on high rev, which is the max for me is at 4.5k, sometimes the engine was like not getting enough spark to burn the fuel.

Which this new plug, the idling was at 1.1k and the idling is steady so far. No up and down and no more misfiring. And it does not stained my floor anymore. Finally a proper combustion. And free revving without a problem. Problem solved for now! I still need an AFC to get the proper air-fuel ratio so that the engine can show it's max potential.

Proper photo of my new BOV. The 'woosh' is low profile and quieter.
http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_349729612001_643222001_3557536_8060673_n.jpg

While waiting for them to service Rolla, I went out a tire shop nearby JMG. Bought four sets of used tires. Total up with my rear tires and another pair donated by Din Longchamp, I have eight sets of tires just for the event! Wohoo!
http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs450.ash1/24767_349735267001_643222001_3557545_6241226_n.jpg

So here's a new size for the rim. Instead of using my usual size which is 195/55/15, this time I opted the 185/55/15 and the other pair was 195/65/15. A bit hippari compare to the previous size.
http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_349729637001_643222001_3557539_6913576_n.jpg

After everything had settled, I rushed to the MAEPS which is situated near the Cyberjaya. Took me another 30minutes to arrived. I arrived around 6pm I think. And it was raining heavily. I quickly took out everything from the car and ready to go! Also I bought a friend of mine. Known her for a looooong time ago and what a coincidence when she was in KL that day and in Cheras to be exact. So she followed me.

Ok, so here's the first run where I was checking out the track and getting the feel. She was screaming every time I took a corner. Hahaha. And I got a 'bodoh' at the end of the clip. She freaked out. Hahahaha.

And after the first few laps, guess what? The car was "POP POP POP" all the way! Idling dropped till 0.6k and the engine keep shutting down and I cannot rev more than 3k. I was fucked up! And it was only 6.30pm! And Din Longchamp and D18X ( Drifter Seksyen 18 Xtreme park, previously known as Budget Drifer) were there too. They keep sourcing the problem of my car. A lot of help and effort from them checking out the engine in heavy rain! Thanks guys!

They pointed out that it is maybe because of the insufficient fuel going up inside the engine. They checked the regulator and found out it is working normally. Also checked out the fuel pump which is working properly too. And Mike showed up and told me maybe it was the Air Flow Sensor fucked up due to moist entering it.

Dunno which one, I kinda frustrated and since we both are wet already, I told her that we are packing up and lets go somewhere to eat and went back. I left the track around 7pm and was frustrated coz I put a lot of effort to get ready for that day. I drove slowly due to the problem and when I arrived at home, the car is running normal again! What the effffff!

Took a damn long bath coz I was frustrated and I decided to go back to MAEPS! Hahahaha. Along the way I was speeding and the car did not show any problem at all! Arrived again, and unload all the stuffs inside and I quickly get inside the track for some fun.

Anyway, to get a clear view of the track, here's a video of Mike drifting in the dark. Video credits to Wandy.

Here's one of the successful run. Track was still wet and I cannot go fast on straight due to boost kicking in and the tires were spinning most of the time. After all I kept changing gears at 4k RPM and when I was drifting, I released the throttle whenever the RPM hits 4000. Hehehe. Anyway I was using third gear all the way and dumping the clutch only at the first corner.

And after few hours, I got pretty confident with the car and myself, I decided to follow Mike! This is my first time ever following someone when drifting. I followed Mike coz I trust him that he will not spun and ended up me banging his car.

So first run was.. A bit shitty line and I actually laughed at the end of the clip coz I manage to follow him somehow.

And here's another run with him. He's FAST. And after a few round, he told me that I actually can drift. Compliment received! Weehoo~

So, I kept drifting till 12am. Was having fun with Din and his car too. Tsuiso-ing with Bobby that was driving Din's car. That was a freakin tiring day. What a day! And something that I learned is that MAF Sensor is sensitive. This is my second time having problems with MAF. Gotta cover up the MAF after this.

Oh, anyway, of eight tires that I brought, none of them were finished! Despite I was thrashing around with the car, my rear set never finished. Another bonus of the day! Well, I am gonna stack up the tires and will go for another session soon. And I am gonna wait for Din Longchamp and D18X group to join along next time.

http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs450.ash1/24767_348760887001_643222001_3554169_6354116_n.jpg

How dirty was Rolla after the event?
http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_348760892001_643222001_3554170_1288604_n.jpg

First, check out my helmet. Battle stain.
http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs410.snc3/24767_348760877001_643222001_3554168_6435799_n.jpg

Here's Rolla with it's dirtiness to the max. And my lucky number for the event was 4.
http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_348760862001_643222001_3554166_838343_n.jpg

Sexy dirty back. See the 'bodoh' word? Hahaha.
http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs450.ash1/24767_348760872001_643222001_3554167_1345095_n.jpg

Another shots of 'dirt' art.
http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_348764467001_643222001_3554173_600933_n.jpg

http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs430.snc3/24767_348764472001_643222001_3554174_622156_n.jpg

Some photos from Kday of D18X. His car was freakin dirty too!
http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs449.ash1/24745_359304432732_810232732_3521977_4424700_n.jpg

Back shot of mine, Din's and Kday's Rollas. Unfortunate to Din, his car was kinda in problem after the event, and today, the car entered a workshop after being towed at car wash for some major work. What work? Top overhaul and solving other problems! I told him to fit in the Blacktop 20valve and I hope he'll do it. Hehehehe.
http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs409.snc3/24745_359304442732_810232732_3521978_1146994_n.jpg

And finally? Of course the owner's photo. Just woke up and asked my bro to snap this pic. My first time ever posing with the car. Hehehe.
http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs450.ash1/24767_348764492001_643222001_3554176_5935304_n.jpg

And you know what? I don't think I am gonna sell my car. Not now. I think I am going to have more fun soon with Rolla. So? Sale canceled since the offer that I got was not 'convincing' enough.

And I am back to normal life and that is back to college. Damn it! I wish everyday was like yesterday. Sigh..

On the other hand; I need some sponsorship for the car! Anyone wanna give? =P

Rolla's Final Prep.

Tomorrow will be sending Rolla to paint shop which mean I'm not gonna be driving Rolla for a few weeks. Huhu. There goes my toy for a few weeks. So, most of the items that I had ordered had arrived and with Ipin currently. Everything on the exterior will be brand new, and some of the stuffs that I took from Kay today are:

GL tail lamp. So now I have both DX and GL tail lamp.

Spanking new front and rear chrome bumper.

Plate number light for rear chrome bumper.

Cant wait for the final results of the paint job soon. And today I skip my afternoon class to get an insurance. Went to Uni Asia around 2pm, and took this number.

798! And guess the current number at that time? 690! And FOUR freakin' hours later, it was my turn and it took only 15 minutes to get the insurance! Wah, I waited for four hours just to settle 15 minutes procedure. Damn. Luckily, there is NO hassle at all and Rolla is insured for a year. Yay! And finally, Mr. JPJ can change the grant owner's name now.

And I went to PlayHouse Garage (PHG) the other day. Was thinking of making a vented hood but unfortunately, my engine bay is quite messy and too cramped, so I cant make it. Huhu. Monster Starlet in the making. One of the PHG's masterpiece.

Im getting interested with this color.

And a late birthday gift from my brothers. Taraa, a full face helmet! And it's white too!

And the awesome part is that I can remove half of the helmet. Sort of Transformers wannabe. Haha. And inside, there's a retractable visor too. More like shades design to me. Cool eh.

And some leftover photos from the drift practice the other day.

Lijet's MOVE-ing fridge. Awesome offset and hippari style.

The practise ground. I wish the tar is a bit smoother then it would be a perfect practise ground. Hehehe.

The crowds was pretty big. Most of the time, it was Din and me playing around. Kekeke. Din was having engine's trouble too this time.

Burnt spark plug is it? Hope the engine will get better soon!

2009 Recap.

Well, lets recap some of the shit that hit me during 2009.

Early January, bought my beloved Bumble Bee. Bone stock. I'd say this is the beginning of my automotive journey.

And also, Getz was standardize back to fund Bee's project.
[DSC00386.JPG]

And also, was getting more serious on photography. Got a few job and I hope people will start recognizing my photography one day.

And through out this year, Din Longchamp was kind enough to lend me his KE70. Thanks to him, I had developed some drifting basic and theory.
[DSC_0047+copy.jpg]

Eary November, broke off with my ex-girlfriend due to a few misunderstanding. Well, maybe I was not good enough and mostly the problems were from me. And also, lost one of my best buddy due to a misunderstanding too perhaps? So lesson learned from that issue.

And this one is for Mr Anon, who's desperate enough to see some of the X6 photos. I had decided not to put the pics, but you want it. You want to see my income statement too?

My parents signing the agreement.

My dad posing in front of the car. And FYI, the color is white too. So that's the reason I'm painting Rolla with white color too. So that all the cars at home are white color.

And this is my income statement from 22.12.09 to 31.12.09. We were paid weekly. See, just RM2.5k this week. I just censored my name and my user name only for my private data. And in case you are wondering what my mom's numbers are, it's RM10k-30k per week. Are you satisfied now? And in case you are finally interested, visit this site and read as much as you want.

Late November, due to some issue and also finally I lost interest with Bee, so sold it off. And the replacement is Rolla. Time to get serious in drifting. And Rolla got her first sponsorship from Retro Bodykits. Jeya was kind enough to gave me some of their products. Wohoo.
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww66/arm_flip4crew2/27122009204copy.jpg

And that was a year. Gosh, time fly so fast yet I didn't change much except gaining some weight. Haha.

So, 2010 resolution and target?

*Find a new girlfriend. Guess I have to start it all over again. Searching the right one is painful for me as I don't have any good qualities and also not good looking are the extra bonus. Single is sucks. No partner to share stories, and bla bla bla. Y'all know the rest.

*Improve my photography. Wanna experiment more angle, more editing technique, more style. But first, I need to buy a new camera. Haha. Maybe a mid-entry level camera.

*Finishing my diploma and further my study. I'm on my final semester in UTM and will try my best not to screw up my final results. Wanna further my study maybe at UKM, UM, UPM, or maybe UiTM Shah Alam. I want to get close to my home. Hahaha. Currently Diploma in Civil Engineering. My CGPA is OK OK only, around 3.42 now. Degree in Environmental Engineering or Road Engineering maybe.

*Lost some weight and fat. Hahahaha. I was collecting a lot of em this year.

*Full Solat and become a good muslimin. I rarely got it full, so wanna try it again so that I become less Jahil and a good Muslim boy.

*More drifting and wanna try my luck in drift events. The biggest aim is to get a sponsorship. Kui kui kui. Hey, dreaming is free, so why not dream it BIG time.

I think that's all. I'm wishing y'all a good new year and whatever you are doing, I hope it will get better next year. Good health, good life, good mood and financially stable are what I'm seeking next year.

Happy 2010!

Rolla's 1st Sideways..

Was suppose to relax at home today. Haven't got a day to rest this few weeks. Huargh. So, Din Longchamp called me today and asked me to join him for some sideways fun at Shah Alam. Not interested to join till he said he got some 15' tyres for me. Huargh. 4 pieces of em some more. Thanks man!

So, we waited at the Batu Tiga petrol station and the last person to arrive is Mr. Tanabe with his AE86 Tofuu! The same car that I had a chance to sit few days ago.
Image

And again, Din bought a set of Longchamp again! This time more offset and hippari style. Looks uber cool!
Image

We arrived at the local drift spot. People called it Extreme Park of Shah Alam I think.. Local group called the Budget Drifter usually came to practice here. They were super friendly too.

Image

And thanks to the Mr. Tanabe for giving me a chance to drift with his Tofuu AE86. Totally different handling feeling and raw power from the 4AGE. Love it!
Image

And officially, Rolla had been drifted. The power is there, but I need more improvement when handling the car. Still didn't familiar with the characteristic of Rolla. But I think Din's Rolla's handling is much better when I tested it at MAEPS the other day.
Image

One of the member of Budget Drifter told me that the Advan Oni is up for sale. I don't have any intention of buying it, but after the owner told me the price (Good one lah..), and they even try to fit it in. Looks good with the fender, so.. after thinking for awhile, I took the rims along with one inch spacer too.
Image

So, here's the spacer. Japan made and 1 inch thick. Thinking of putting it on front rims so that I get more angle and wider stance.
Image

Oh, here's some lame video of mine when testing the track. My lil brother recorded it. Sounds like he's having fun inside. Ignore the laughing and what not. Hehehe.

Here's the link.

Rolla Rolla.

Ok, so today I went to pick up my new car and also kinda scary coz paying it cash. Hahaha. Thanks to my roomate and my toilet mate for accompanying me to do the transaction. Emm, will change the owner's name by next week I guess. Driving feeling? Awesome. Never in my life got a chance to drive a turbo car. So it was a good and new experience for me.

So, here's my first day with her. Still need a list of restoration. Need a bodywork. Huhu.

Messy engine.. Maybe need a new blow off valve and some check up. Hopefully everything will be OK.

The boot. Noisy fuel pump, surge tank and the battery. Make me dizzy after awhile inhaling the fuel fume. Hahaha.

One of the earliest person that came to check out the car is Din. And again, he had a new set of rims. Longchamp.. LOL. So from now, I'll be calling Din by his new nickname, Din Longchamp! And he's the responsible person that had been poisoning me to change to try 4AGE.

And as a start, my fender mirror had arrived. Yay.. More update soon! :D

Oh, as usual. I had created a blog just to fill up with this car's updates. Y'all can check out here.
